Icons shows just 404
-
Hello!
I’m not sure if this is because of your plugin or not because it’s hard to test. But…
1. If we use settings as attached here https://imgur.com/a/Tcl911J then images are loaded fine (in uploads), not icons.
2. If we enable direct redirection then all the images are showing just 404 errors. Even when using the media browser in the admin, all the images simply have 404 and that’s it. Including icons. So right now we are using the settings as attached. But… Most likely everything which has in the URL or name the word “icon” is blocked and shows only 404. The same way if we enable direct redirection, then it’s for all the images. I am unable to see where the problem is. If your plugin completely rewrote some settings or not.
We tried to delete and check htaccess files in content, plugins and other folders. That did not help. I tried to use troubleshooting mode with no plugins or themes, also nothing. I tried to rename plugins folder to have it all with 0 plugins, also did not help and the icons are not visible in the admin and show just 404.
Some samples of URLs which are not working are below:
/wp-content/plugins/updraftplus/images/icons/googledrive.png
/wp-content/plugins/wp-asset-clean-up/assets/icons/icon-asset-cleanup.png
/wp-content/plugins/updraftplus/images/icons/onedrive.pngI tried to upload another image to /wp-content/plugins/wp-asset-clean-up/assets/icons/ and that did not show either. But having it here /wp-content/plugins/wp-asset-clean-up/assets/ was working fine. So the problem is somehow in the folder “icons”.
Folders’ permissions are 755 so the problem is also not there.
Can you confirm or deny if you made any settings which could have alter the url? At the beginning we used the option to Alter ALL CONTENT in your plugin later we switched just to Uploads and themes. But well, there is nothing wrong in the htaccess in plugins so I have no clue what’s going on here…
Thank you.
Best,
Karel
