  • Hi all… fix is almost done. We need 1-2 weeks to make the release (just as an fyi for your timing and workarounds). Thanks.

Thank you for the update. I and everyone else can’t wait to see it. Again thank you for the realistic time frame. Have a Happy New Year.

Hi – I too had been trying to figure out what had gone wrong. Thanks for posting status Bradley and let me know if you want me to test anything for you

In case Timely don’t already know this:
adding events via csv doesn’t work either – looks like similar problem in that the event details are not properly recorded.

After the CSV upload (pasted in my case) it says event(s) added and you can see them in the admin area but they cannot be displayed. Only the title is being added.

I mention this in case you don’t know that it is not just the feeds to other sites that have gone wrong with WP 4.4

In case Timely don’t aready know this 2:
This bug also effects calendar feeds between timely calendars.

Yep… Add me – after introducing the new site design…and having the calendar half functional hurts the mojo! HELP

Just posting here since I have the same problem. Just installed a new blog with 4.4 and can’t get the ICS importing to work. I get items but they don’t have the proper categories attached and also don’t have the right date or time either.

Any update? Can I help test the fix since my site is still in development?

    Thanks.

The ics feed feature was the reason I chose this calendar plugin over any other. Any update on the timeline when this is getting fixed so the feed works with 4.4? This bug has killed the usability of the calendar on corporate intranet. The plugin pages says it has not been updated in four months.

I have been doing some research and have found that The Events Calendar Pro by Modern Tribe can be licensed with .ics feed for $138/yr. The Pro version offers something very similar to posterboard view and the ics feed is self explanatory. Has anyone worked with The Events Calendar? Are they more responsive to us lower budget people?

Add my name to the list of: #1 Wish I had found this thread sooner (3 days of re-installing plugin and trying to get this to work) and #2 We Really need this functionality! ALSO: when you remove the ICS feed and tell the app to remove/delete the associated events, that doesn’t work either (i have to MANUALLY delete all of the events!) argghhh……..

Seconding what lifebridgesoha said. And I’ll add to that that most of these flawed events are for some reason showing up one to a page, so deleting them is impossible. And they are also messing up search on my site – as soon as one of the flawed events is encountered, the search returns nothing else. So my site is completely crippled.

Thirding what lifebridgesoha said – plus when importing the ics feed data the start and end dates and times are set to the date and time of the feed creation.

Am adding my plea for an update on the situation – preferably that the team have addressed the bugs and are providing an update asap ??

    John

Timely just replied to my Twitter post and said: “it should be out by this week’s end.”

    Here’s hoping…

Hey All – we’re hoping for a release to start (it might come out in batches) on Friday – which would mean that many of you won’t see until over the weekend or early next week.

If things come out in the last bit of testing, it could delay it – but this is the intent.

    Thanks for your patience

Need any more testers? I volunteer.
