Ideas, questions and compare to seo rank reporter

    I saw your post on “SEO Rank Reporter”, sadly that the SEO Rank Reporter Dev is not updating anymore.

    On SEO Rank Reporter I had to change several things in the code, to make it work. And I pointed out a lot of improving in the forums, but no answer from the Dev. Would be nice to hear what do you think about following suggestions and questions:

    0. First a question: I saw in your screenshots no page of an graphical chart, which shows the history of the page ranking. The plugin providing this?

    1. My biggest and most important problem / question:
    I had problem with google blocking the ip, when having to much keywords in the list and to much searches. I added more browser IDs, more variable timings, but I didn’t get rid of the problem. Do you get a solution for this, with checking 100 of keywords?
    -> My solution was: Only do every time randomly 20 searches, but in shorter iterations, as default in SEO Rank Reporter was. (default was every 3 days)
    I think splitting the google searches and ranking checks over more intervals, so not all checks are done on same time, but be spitted in hours or days, is a good approach.

    2. Any idea of converting seo rank reporter history to advanced rank checker? Perhaps you use the same db schema to save the records? then i could simple transform my seo rank reporter tabe to your new schema table.

    3. I customized seo Rank Reporter, because it was bad design to check only one assigned full-url for each keyword. But I wanted better to check if my general “domain” is in the search result list. Your plugin looks also for the “domain” when scanning keywords or for full-urls?

    -> Best solution would be, every time checking for general “domain” in search result list, but also copy the full record of found full url, so you see in the results which url was found in the search results. Actually my simple solution only checked for domain, and assign every record to domain only.

    And following improvement ideas were pointed out to seo rank reporter, perhaps also good for you:

    4. Site domain should be default entered on the “add keyword” form. Or the least used domain should be entered as default. So the user have not to enter domain every time. Or Perhaps a new option in “settings” to define default domain, would also by glad.

    5. Possibility for delete some sample dates. (not important, can be done manually with DB access)

    6. I think it is important to split keywords from domain. So someone can monitor keywords for several domains with one search. So you can activate different domains for searches, and when searching for a keyword you scan the search result list directly for all domains and visualize results for all domains. And every time copy the full url found in the search result to the records.

    7. Some options would be nice for Page rank check time interval customizing.

    8. Add other search engines, at least Bing would be nice. Because algorithm is nearly the same, should be no big problem. Bing and perhaps also yahoo would be nice.

    Hi Manni,

    Thankyou for your message and all of your ideas.
    I am currently working on some of the features you listed above.

    The plugin already supports a history of the keyword rankings. This will be available when the keyword has been checked twice.

    0: I am still trying to make it look better with graphical arts.
    1: Google does not let you search more then 20-+ times in a few hours. I’m building a proxy network to work with the plugin so it’s able to work, even if you checked your keywords more then 20 times.
    2: I think It’s a wise idea to create a converter for rank reporter because It has been used alot and It’s not updated anymore.
    3: The plugin is working with full urls. So, https://www.domain.com
    4: I will give the users the option to use their own domain or a new one.
    5: I will add this feature to my list.
    6: Maybe in the near future. First I will add the other features listed above. Anyway, a very nice feature to add for sure.
    7: Nice option, I will think about it
    8: I am already working on a feature to add other search engines. This will be added in the next update.

    Thanks for all the information and ideas. I will write the ideas on my list and add them one by one or in bulk.

    A question for you: Is the plugin working as it should be working at the moment?
