I have been using PolyLang successfully, but I recently came across a problem. When translating taxonomies, sometimes the translation is exactly the same (ex., Sopas (es_ES), Sopas (pt_BR), but this is not accepted:

A term with the name provided already exists with this parent.

Has anyone come across this? Any suggestions on how to handle it?

And, as usual, I find the answer right after posting. For others that see this post, create the translation with an additional symbol, for example:
    Sopas (es-ES)
    Sopas_ (pt_BR)
Then after it is created, go back and edit it again and change the name back to Sopas.
