    Hi Tobias,

We’ve been using Tablepress for many years (thank you). As a result we have over 400 tables, but the vast majority are no longer used within posts.

Can you suggest a way to identify live tables so we can remove those which are redundant and taking up server resource?

    Hi,

thanks for your post, and sorry for the trouble.

Unfortunately, there’s no direct way to achieve this. Your best chance would be to maybe search all your WordPress posts and pages (in the admin area) for a string like [table .
This should then give you a list of posts/pages which have a table (as it should find all TablePress Shortcodes). You can then compile a list of table IDs that are still in use.

You could maybe also do this with an SQL query in a tool like phpMyAdmin, which might be a bit faster, as it could show you the table IDs directly on the screen, without having to open each post/page.

    Regards,
    Tobias
