IE 9 and 10 issues

When I try to go to the lightbox view for a slideshow in Internet Explorer 9 or 10 (or the compatibility modes in the developer tools) the lightbox gets stuck loading and does not bring up the image. This appears to be a problem with WPPA+ in general, I have replicated it on several different computers, and any website with WPPA I could find. Even the WPPA beta site seems to have the issue (https://beta.opajaap.nl/example-post/wppaspec/oc1/cv0/ab19/pt72), as well as a site I grabbed from a previous support topic (https://www.gamlingayphotos.co.uk/?album=HomePageSlideShow&cover=0&occur=1&photo=12871).
