    Hi,
I’m having an issue with the navigation of my child theme for Delicate.

On my mac computer at work using Safari, Chrome, and Firefox as well as my home computer that has Windows using IE v9, I have no problems and the navigation seems to display correctly–

The client is also using Internet Explorer v8, but the navigation is either being pushed to a new line, or the text is getting jumbled in the navigation bar.

**Browser also said, “Done with some errors.” in the status bar.**

Anyone have any ideas? I can post code if someone wants to look at it.

You’ll have to retrieve the browser versions that errors occur in, otherwise the question will be too vague to answer.

Generally, formatting issues occur when pages aren’t to W3C standards.
Ensure each page you want browser-compatible validates.

    Thanks, Andrew.
I’m not fluent in WordPress programming, but using precreated themes and adjusting the CSS.

I’m in the process of finding out that information.

    Thanks!

EDIT: They are using Version 8.0 … of Internet Explorer and the version I was previewing at home is Version 9.0.

The client is getting upset with me b/c they don’t understand the IE is picky and that I have to code to include all and they think that one code should work across all browsers like “other websites”.

So if there is an IE 8 fix for jumbled navigation, I’d love to hear it! I’ll continue my search on google as well!

EDIT: I emulated IE 8 in my IE 9 browser and STILL didn’t have the problem that they did.

Well, there was something wrong in the style.css file, so I reset it back to the parent to see if it would work then and it did.

Have no idea what caused it to go bonkers, but it has been resolved by using the original parent style and working from that instead, nice and fresh.
