IE10 Windows 8 – Compact player will not expand

  • In IE10 Windows 8 the compact player will not expand when the play button is pressed and so no sound is played. And yet the player works as expected in the latest versions of Chrome, Firefox and Safari.

    I’m not sure if the Flash Player is used, but I’ve checked it anyway and my Windows 8 has the latest version of Flash player (checked the actual version number).

    Any idea of what the problem might be? Or how I should troubleshoot this?

    This sounds strange. I tested it on IE10 and it’s working fine… I’ll make some tests.
