    Hello,

My client is using this plugin on his website. We noticed if a customer goes to the checkout page and selects a payment method (for instance iDeal) and then cancels the payment during the payment process of iDeal, the customer will go back to the WooCommerce website and will see a blank page. The blank page doesn’t show any notice that the payment was cancalled.

That’s not user friendly, you would expect atleast a note saying that the payment was cancelled (and that the order is pending). Does this plugin provides anything (like a GET variable) that tells that the payment was cancelled so I as an developer can make a user friendly note telling the payment did not work and the order is still pending?

    Hi @rodricus

By default, the customer is returned to the Checkout page when canceling a payment process.

But there is a setting in the Mollie Advanced Settings that allows you to set the order status to Cancelled instead of Pending payment.

so I as an developer can make a user friendly note telling the payment did not work and the order is still pending

The buyer canceling the payment process and the payment failing are not the same scenarios and the latter will result in an error message. In case of cancelled payments, there is no specific message displayed to the buyer when the setting mentioned above it set to Pending.

But for any questions about the plugin setup or modifications, I suggest contacting the?Mollie Support Team?directly.
    Thanks!

    Kind regards,
    Niklas

    Hello Inpsyde,

Thank you for your reply, but I can conclude what you are saying is not true.

If I configure the Mollie Payments plugin to “cancel” at the Mollie Advanced Settings I get exactly the same response URL when it was configured with setting “pending”. I get the following URL: /afrekenen/order-pay/20653/?pay_for_order=true&key=wc_order_ehML59stwGRPP&utm_nooverride=1

There doesn’t seem to be any difference. How can we solve this?

    Hi @rodricus

If this doesn’t work for you, I suggest performing a conflict test by disabling all other plugins except for WooCommerce and Mollie to see if the behavior persists.
You can find more details instructions here: How to Test for Plugin and Theme Conflicts

This setting works as expected for me as can be seen in this example.

When in doubt, I suggest contacting the Mollie Support Team directly for additional guidance.
    Thanks!

    Kind regards,
    Niklas

Thank you for your answer again. The video is very clear about it.

I will do a conflict test soon and will let you know what the results are.
