If "featured" display posts else display latest posts

  • Horrible title – sorry …

    What I am trying to do on home.php is display posts (only) from my “Featured” category (which is working). What I cannot figure out how to do is IF there are no “Featured” posts THEN display the latest 10 posts.

    I know the general schema – but just can’t write it out in the required PHP. Can anyone help?

    You will see the posts in my “Featured” category (the titles/permalinks) displaying. But if I uncheck the “Featured” category – then nothing will display since it’s only looking for that particular category.
