    If I have a WP-ADMIN/ custom folder, like: adminofsite/

Can I use this plugin? does it automatically recognize or do I need to change any fields?

    Thank you!

    Hi @ofmarconi,
It is hard to say as I haven’t tested in such a situation. Maybe @salvatorefresta will be able to give a more clear answer on this matter.

    Hi @ofmarconi ,
what is your goal? Exclude from the cache the content of wp-admin/customfolder ?

    Hi! @salvatorefresta

My goal is to use the site with this plugin:
    https://codecanyon.net/item/hide-my-wp-amazing-security-plugin-for-wordpress/4177158

Or even change the name of the folders:

    WP-ADMIN /
    WP-CONTENT /
    WP-INCLUDES /

    ADMIN /
    CONTENT /
    INCLUDES /

Does your plug-in work perfectly like that?

    Hi @ofmarconi,
I’m sure @salvatorefresta will chime in and reply when he comes online but I just wanna say this honest feedback to you and anyone who is looking for a similar plugin. Trust me these plugins provide no security whatsoever. Any WordPress engineer can figure out whether a site is using WordPress or not very easily regardless of changing the paths. Changing paths are nothing but a placebo made for people who know nothing about WordPress to make them feel secure and in return make some money out of it. A person who is trying to hack your WP site is not an average Joe and is a person well knowledgable about WordPress so this won’t stop him from knowing your site is using WordPress. It won’t give you any extra security but will give you many issues down the line with other plugins, themes, WordPress core etc. Just a comment, the choice is yours.

The more valid things you can do to improve your site security:
    1. Use a good well-coded theme.
    2. Always keep your themes & plugins up to date.
    3. If you are using Jetpack then enable the Protech module of Jetpack if not use Google Recaptcha in your login forms.
    4. Have a strong password for your admin user and make sure the username is not admin.

These are more effective than the plugin you have mentioned. Using that above plugin you are merely hiding that you are using WordPress from people who don’t know anything and these people don’t care anyway. But the right person can easily find out what you are using.

    Ohhhhh my god!

Strong words, but they sound very true to me!

Thank you! I have no more doubts on this subject, convinced me that it is better not to use it.

    THX
