    Hi,

The layout for the cart page for a client of mine shows 2 cross-sells. When there are more than 2 cross-sells, for example because there are several products in the cart that have cross-sells linked to them, what determines which 2 are shown?

    Thank you,
    No?lle

    Great question ??

Testing today for us the cross-sells will display in the order in which they are listed on the Product Edit screen of WooCommerce.

These products would then display on the cart page from left to right.

If your WordPress theme only allows for displaying two products it should be the first two within the product edit screen which will display.

    Hey @stuartduff,

Thanks so much for your reply. This part is now clear to me, how about when there are several products in the cart that have cross-sells attached to them? What determines whether the cross-sells of product a vs b vs c are shown?

    Hey @noellesteegs,

When you add more than a single product to cart the Cross Sells would be displayed in the order in which the products were added.

For example, if you had a product called Low Cut Boots and that was the first product added to cart the cross-sells for that product would display first.

If you added a second product and your theme supported displaying more than two cross-sell products the second products cross-sells would display after the first products cross-sells on the cart page.

Thank you for helping me understand this better, @stuartduff. What about the following situation… Customer has product A in cart, which as cross-sells has products B and C. Then customer adds product B to the cart. Because it’s a cross-sell for product A, does this remove the product from the displayed cross-sells?

Also if there’s any specific extension you can recommend for gaining more control over cross-sells then I’m all ears. ??
