Hi. In an effort to list only current items for sale I have to manually delete about 1,000 posts per month. Currently I am using another plugin to redirect the 404 errors to their parent category (this is quite laborious). Is it possible for this to happen automatically.

    For example

Item “Seiko (brand) Tuna (product) Special Edition Deep Blue Sea (specific item description)” has a URL thus
    DOMAIN.com/Seiko-Tuna (WP category)/Seiko-Tuna-SKX008-special-edition-blue-sea/

When the listing expires (item sold or removed) I want to delete the post DOMAIN.com/Seiko-Tuna/Seiko-Tuna-SKX008-special-edition-blue-sea/

Now … instead of serving a 404 I want to serve the parent category eg. DOMAIN.com/Seiko-Tuna/ as a 301 permanent redirect

    I hope that makes sense

    Cheers

    Tristan
