If you don’t need all the modules it’s a bloat

    Every two years or so I try this plugin again thinking it might have something more for me. And every time I remove it again after tinkering with it for a bit. Now, if I hadn’t got the stuff I needed already, security, stats, contact forms etc etc then Jetpack would be awesome. However I run my sites tight, no bloat, so, as I don’t need an awful lot of the other modules, Jetpack seems a bit excessive. If I used and needed the modules I’d probably think it was a good plugin.

    Hi @static1635,

    You can control exactly which parts of Jetpack are included to keep your install light and fast. You can turn off any modules that you do not need via the Modules page. This allows you to use only the features you find necessary, such as security, stats, and contact forms, without the extra modules.

    Yeah, all the modules but stats are turned off. I wonder if it is worth the whole plugin just for stats…
