• Evening guys,

I’ve recently updated the theme on our site and everything seemed to be working perfectly.

I’ve gone to embed a Twitch / Mixer embed link from the respective sites, however for whatever reason unless i’m logged in to the site the video won’t show.

I initially thought this may be an issue with the Ultimate Member plugin, however even aftr that was deactivated, the issue still persisted. Its common across Edge, Firefox and Chrome (all latest versions).

As i say, unless i’m logged in, the content won’t show up – any ideas?

I’ve checked to see if there’s any Javascript errors wihtin Chrome and there’s nothing in case this was an issue. I’ve also tested the embed code in a normal text editor within WordPress and it works fine when not logged in, thus the reason i’m posting here.

    Hopefully, you can help,

    Cheers

  • I’m not familiar with Twitch but when you go to the site do you have to normally log in? If the answer is yes, it’s going to work the same way on your website. Facebook works just like this but there is a setting where you can make your FB page Public, if you want to show it on your web page. Look up Twitch public settings. There is also the possibility that Twitch has a code that should be included in the embed code to make it visible. Iframes are getting more and more restrictive, people/business don’t want their website to look like it’s part of yours.

    Thanks for the reply LesTexas,

Generally, so long as the link is correct, a guest or a signed in user can view the content on stream.

I’m literally going to each respective site, copying the code from their sites (the embed provided) and posting this into the elementor box via “custom html” as i’ve always done.

If i were to do the same on a normal “classic” editor without logging into our site, it works perfectly.

Competely agree with the other stuff though – for these sites, i’ve never had an issue especially with Elementor.

    Thanks again!
