Not at YouTube videos allow embedding. Check that at YouTube.

Have you tried the methods described here?

    Thank you guys,

@lulu: installed this plugin and followed the instructions, I don’t get the message

Blocked a frame with origin “https://www.youtube.com” from accessing a frame with origin “https://constantinostsiliacos.com”. Protocols, domains, and ports must match.

But don’t see the video at all even tho it is on the source code of the page.

@seacoast: I am aware of it and the videos I am trying to embed are indeed embedables, I tried in other websites.

@krishna Yes, I have, and none work.

Anyone any ideas what’t wrong with my theme?

    (@the-oropeza)

Sorry for the bump, just wondering if someone has any ideas

    Thanks a lot

However the problem seems to be related with the theme I am using because if I switch to Twenty Eleven the iframes appear just fine.

If this issue is specific to that theme, you need to ask the theme developer (or hire someone to help you with it) – these forums only support themes from the repository on this site.

Do moderators take much pleasure in finding anything against the rules?

I have been researching on this issue for long time and can’t find any information on the entire net and I believe the theme I use is a very popular open source blank framework that is used by many developers as a starter of major themes. IMHO getting to the bottom of this issue will be of great benefit for the community.

Sorry Sir, but I think you should review first the theme I am talking about here and all the dimensions of my issue before enforcing the rules without thinking.

    Thanks!

Who knows, but it shouldn’t be surprising if you see a forum moderator moderating the forum.

    Sorry Sir,

    That’s Madam.

I think you should review first the theme I am talking about here and all the dimensions of my issue before enforcing the rules without thinking.

Well, that’s not what these forums are for.
www.ads-software.com forums are here to support the core application and themes and plugins that are distributed on www.ads-software.com.

If your product is not distributed on www.ads-software.com, you should seek help from the people who gave it to you.

    Alternatively use a theme distributed on www.ads-software.com: https://www.ads-software.com/themes/ .

Not at all. Just like you and every other volunteer here moderators are looking to be productive. Do you want to provoke a negative response or focus on your problem?

Personally I’d rather focus on your problem and you should too.

The following page has in theory one you tube video embedded in it:

How did you embed the YouTube video in that page? Did you just try pasting this into the visual editor?

    [embed]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JaNH56Vpg-A[/embed]

Or are you using some other method to paste code into that page?

@wpyogi and @andrew, Apologies if my reply came across a bit harsh, it just seems that I get a moderator to pick up on my posts all the time these days and I am feeling quite frustrate with this, let alone, I haven’t found a solution to my problem in a week. I genuinely want to solve my issue and that this can be of help for the community, there are in fact similar problems that haven’t been resolved on this forum.

@wpyogi, I apologise for having assumed you were a man, sorry Madam.

@jan Thanks a lot for offering a hand; I have tried several methods and none have worked, I get the same output in any case:

    httpv://www.youtube.com/v/jNQXAC9IVRw
    [embed width="123" height="456"]https://www.youtube.com/v/jNQXAC9IVRw[/embed]

    [youtube=https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JaNH56Vpg-A]

    <iframe src=”https://player.vimeo.com/video/68167709&#8243; width=”500″ height=”281″ frameborder=”0″ webkitAllowFullScreen mozallowfullscreen allowFullScreen></iframe> <p>mark 2013 backstage from Contantinos Tsiliacos on Vimeo.</p>

I have of course installed plugins that allow for some of the embedding methods displayed above.

Feel up to some experimentation? Create a new test page but don’t publish it. Or if you want us to see it then do publish it and share the URL here.

Start with a brand new page and don’t apply any template to it. Copy in this text via the Visual Editor for that new page.

Exciting and useful copy goes HERE.

    [embed]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JaNH56Vpg-A[/embed]

More useful copy below said YouTube video.

    Just that and nothing else.

Give that page a title and save it. Now preview that page. Between the two lines of copy is there anything?

If you have published that new page (you can delete it later) then please share that link and we’ll also take a look.

    Hi Jan,

Because I childed the main theme a created a different default page so for the sake of the test you suggested I copied the original default page into the child folder and called it orig-page.php and so I created a test page and: it works!!!

    https://constantinostsiliacos.com/test/

Now it is clear that I am doing something wrong on the custom pages, do you have any ideas what that can be?

I’d like to add that when comparing the original page and the one I created all I have added extra is the following div:

    <div id=”pageContainer”> </div>

    Now that’s good progress. ??

Now it is clear that I am doing something wrong on the custom pages, do you have any ideas what that can be?

Dunno. I hardly ever create my own page templates. Can you use one that came with that BLANK theme as a starting point? I’m not at all familiar with that theme but that ought to be a safe starting point for your modifications.

You’ve probably read this already but this Codex link may help.

    https://codex.www.ads-software.com/Page_Templates#Custom_Page_Template

Aside from that I don’t think there’s much I can suggest past that. You’re already Doing It All Right™ by using a child theme (that’s huge BTW and thanks for that).

Thank you @jan! you really know how to get some good ol’ troubleshooting kicked off.
