Ignore Own IP Stats

    I realize this has been asked probably a million times and I’ve done some searching and found results, but no solutions.

    I’m new to blogging. I’m new to running my own site. I’ve tried adding my own IP address to the filter section for this mod but it does not seem to be working. My hits and page views are still showing. I don’t know how to figure out my CIRD. I went to the wiki and I do not understand what the heck is being said there.

    I visit my site a lot. I’m having a ton of fun with it, I really like looking at it and seeing my work and stuff. I’d love to track visits that aren’t my own though and I just haven’t been able to configure this properly.

    Hi there,

    In your case it may be more useful to filter your own USER, not the IP Address. Try to see if that helps.

    Wow that was an incredibly fast response. Thank you so much! I didn’t even know that was an option. I realize if I had looked harder I could have caught it, so I apologize. Like I said, I’m real new to blogging so I didn’t mean to waste your time or anything.

    No, no. Not at all. I actually have the response email for this chat sitting in my inbox as a reminder.
    I was going to make a new post asking some questions because I still don’t know exactly what I’m lookin at. I’ll rate ya after I post this though. I like what I understand for sure.

    What am I looking at? What exactly is Spy View? And can I make the Overview default to the current day instead of Overall?
    And why are the stats so different than the built-in wordpress Jet Pack?
    I imagine the default is just not very good. I just don’t know exactly what the difference is.
