IIS 7 rewrite module for URL – need rules help
-
Hello,
I’ve just installed WordPress 3.0.1 to Plesk. Plesk’s setup seems to require the WP install go to the httpdocs folder (the root directory.) However, then the URL to access WordPress for my site is “mydomain.com/wordpress” — what I really want is just “mydomain.com” for simplicity. In answer to my query how to simplify the URL, my host’s Tech Support instructed me to “configure IIS 7 URL rewrite module” and noted that the “IIS 7 URL rewrite module is already installed and enabled” and that “all rules should be placed in the web.config file” (located in the same hhtpdocs root directory.)
I can’t be the first one who has need of these rules, and wonder if anyone can and would share their IIS 7 URL rewrite rules for this situation so I can use them as a template?
Many thanks and with high hopes!
