• I was able to install wordpress on my windows box using WAMP and then I wanted to run my blog under IIS as I have my own personal site using ASP.NET.

Well it is always something isn’t it the amount of nonsense there is out there and the amount of cludged together “Hurray I got it to work” blog and how to posts.

Is there an actual clear and concise “Installed and properly functioning WordPress under IIS 7.5” guide?

I tell you if I do get it working I will turn on Snagit and create a fully illustrated and document guide on how to get this thing working under IIS and MYSQL.

So if anybody has the answers that would be fabulous.

As a note: I did get it to work but it was always redirecting every page to 127.0.0.1:4935 so always getting an error.

I was researching the url_rewrites and other settings in the PHP.INI as well as the WEB.CONFIG file and none of it solved the issue.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

IIS 7.5 is the Microsfot Internet Information Services, basically the web server application running under windows.

IIS 7 and up are the most recent versions of this application, as for the error you are getting I would contact your hosting company and ask them the question.
