Great content html/text editor syntax highlighter

The editor in WordPress is so painful to use sometimes, the restriction of not being able to go from the text to visual editor and back again for fear of it ruining my code has really started to irk me. I’m now determined to make coding and building content a more pleasurable experience. This plugin it seems is going to help me to achieve that.

I tried another plugin with similar capabilities, but it disabled my quicktag text editor buttons plugin, so then I tried this one, HTML Editor Syntax Highlighter. It works…. and when it doesn’t, it gets fixed quickly. Thank you!

Minor criticisms: it doesn’t highlight shortcode, but it’s pretty great otherwise….

11/30/18 Update: I’m downgrading my rating to 4 stars because I discovered HTML Editor Syntax Highlighter plugin doesn’t work with the Divi Builder plugin. I wish it did, hopefully someday it will.
