Illegal string offset ‘taxonomy’ after WordPress 4.7 Update

I don’t use this plugin but am receiving the same errors.

@shariq11 – thanks for your reply but I have tried your solution and it does not work for my site, I still have the “Illegal string offset” error. I have disabled all plugins except Ad Injection and still get the error.

I have all ads disabled in the top matrix box of Ad Injection Settings except for Widget which is how I use / display Ads. All other settings are n/a – have you any other ideas how I might get rid of this bug / error?
