    Hi there,

    This is very very strange for me. I’m the admin user in my site but I can’t update plugins, or install new plugins or update themes, etc. It shows me “You don’t have permssions for this” message, but I’m the only administrator there!

    Someone know something about this problem???

  • Data related to admin account is corrupted in 1 of the database tables, probably from migrating database or something going on on your server side. Ask your server admin or web developer if they just did something with the database. Then that could be the reason. Other than that, I don’t think of anything else that stops admin from doing all tasks.

    This is very weird, I checked every table from my D.B. and everything seems to be fine, I have not found something different in the permissions for example, even and revised table by table comparing it with another D.B. I have on another website and everything seems normal.

    Although some tables, I’m not quite sure what exactly they should look like, but as far as I understand it seems to be normal.

    Do you know what exactly table do I have to check for this problem?

    Hey, solved!

    the problem was visible but well hidden, it was a plugin or malicious code that added this code to the wp-config.php file:

    define(‘DISALLOW_FILE_EDIT’, true);
    define(‘DISALLOW_FILE_MODS’, true);

    deleting this, I was able to install and update plugins and themes again
