    After the latest plugin update, I was blocked out of my own dashboard and my site was showing error messages. After trying the Emergent Functionality change and not working, I ended up having to delete the plugin ?? I want to reinstall because it’s a most awesome blocker but am afraid of being blocked out again. I’m not sure what to do.

    After trying the Emergent Functionality change and not working,…

    In my environment, Emergent Functionality works fine with 2.2.4.1. So I think you had better to try another solution.

    Could you download the previous stable version 2.2.3.1 from here and give it another “Emergent Functionality” try?

    I hope this may help you.

    I wonder why you were blocked out during your update process (and getting involved with the issue of 2.2.4). So after you revive your site, I appliciate if you report some of details for giving me a chance to improve this plugin.

    I downloaded 2.2.3.1 and it’s working fine. So should I wait for the next update?

    I can confirm the 2.2.4.1 update fixed the problem with 2.2.4.

    My answer is NO because…

    • I have almost no information about your trouble e.g. what was error message you saw? which version did you try 2.2.4 or 2.2.4.1? etc…
    • So I can’t identify the cause of your troble and which part I should fix.
    • I strongly recommend you to read this and that. The concrete information leads you to the quick resolution.

    I can understatnd your hesitation. But I expect you to try the latest version i.e. 2.2.4.1.

    Hi,

    It happened so fast, I didn’t look at the version number. I had to get it fixed right away, I’m sure you can understand! Whichever update was rolled out two days ago was the one I had problems with. I apologize for my support request not being clearer. So here’s exactly what happened: Right after I updated the plugin two days ago, I was blocked on the frontend and the backend. I tried the Emergent Functionality change, and I was still blocked out on both ends. So I ended up deleting the plugin altogether via FTP. I downloaded the version you sent to me in your last thread and now it’s working. I’m ignoring the update notification in my dashboard.

    Thank you so much for your detailed information. So I should assume the both of version number.

    I think the following is the key point:

    I was blocked on the frontend and the backend. I tried the Emergent Functionality change, and I was still blocked out on both ends.

    Actually, the version 2.2.4 caused a “fatal error” and made everything (means both frontend and backend) stopped. So I guess you tried that version.

    I must apologize for my bothering you so many times. But I deeply appreciate you to try to update to 2.2.4.1 which was reported as “It works” by some poeple.
