• I recently uploaded a new theme and the message “This theme is released under creative commons licence, all links in the footer should remain intact” now displays when I type in my URL (serviceplusnow.com) AND when I try to go to my wordpress log in page. I don’t understand because I hadn’t even modified anything in the footer!
I tried to access it this way “ftp://username:[email protected]/wp-username” but I got a “530 User can not log in” message. Is there NO WAY for me to access my site ever again???

  • FTP into your site and rename the current theme’s folder. That should activate the default theme and allow you back into your site. Then I’d suggest that you try re-downloading that theme or simply use another theme that doesn’t have these restrictions.
