I’m getting spam email from wordpress@mysite

  • Hi there! I have seen this issue in the forum but mine is a little bit different: I’m getting spam emails from wordpress@mysite but:

    • The contact forms are sending emails to an other account, not mine.
    • My email is only the admin email of the wordpress account
    • I have checked for virus and installed MalCare and Wordfence and everything seems to be fine in the website

      • I don’t know what else to do, please help!

  • It is very common. I setup an Exchange rule all outside emails get a external bar warning users it came from outside. We get a lot of phishing emails using our domains.

    To be safe, change your passwords on your database and users on your site.
