I’ve just started to play with Keyring Social Importer (I like it) and connected it to Flickr. I’ve got three questions:

First, the links that is generated back to Flickr use my display name, not my account name which results in all links being broken. How dow I avoid this?

Second, is there some way to control which size that is downloaded? Original size too large to be useful, is it possible to limit the size to one of the “large” sizes?

Third, is there some way to control which size is used in the posts?

I’ll answer my own question, no there is no option to change this – this seem to be hardcoded.

I’m not a PHP programmer or a WordPress developer but I was able to get the behavior I was looking for by changing a couple of lines in ‘keyring-importer-flickr.php’

Hi, yep, I’m afraid a bunch of that sort of thing is hardcoded, although I’ve tried to include some filters that would allow programmers to at least be able to change how things work.

The display name thing sounds like a straight up bug though, so I’ll try to get that fixed.

Hope it works out for you.

    Cheers.

I’ve changed the URL (in the “Development version” of the plugin) to use your user id instead of a username/slug, since those values can be changed, or not configurable, resulting in incorrect URLs being generated. Using the user-id should be more consistent (always works).

    Thanks!
