I'm locked out but in whitelist

    I’m blocked as my login failed. Someone apparently got in and changed my pass. My IP is white listed and not blocked in .htaccess. My .htaccess was hacked for the fifth time. They add in a line with their URL and allow .

    I don’t see how as this in .htaccess

    <files .htaccess>
    order allow,deny
    deny from all

    Each time they add in the same URL which I won’t post publicly.

    Edit: as I typed this they added it back

    An immediate first step that you should do is try changing your cpanel and ftp passwords.

    Hello @sicksquirrel if you would like to check this website. They are very good in security. Also what @wpsolutions suggest is a great idea.

    Make sure that all your plugins are up to date, your theme is up to date. You might have to revert to an earlier backup and/ or update your WordPress core files to be on the safe side.

    My question was how to unblock myself. I don’t use cPanel. I have changed the FTP pass several times.

    The question was how to unblock myself (done) and how am I blocked if my IP is whitelisted in .htaccess?
