When I open my slideshow page in wp-admin and click the plus icon, I don’t see all the same options in staging and production as I do in development. In development I see under “media” four extra options all with green icons. They are – image compare, slideshow, Story and Tiled Gallery. The other choices are all black icons under media – image, gallery, audio, cover, file, media & text, and Video. Those last 8 all with black icons I do see in the staging and production environments. I want to see the additional green icons under “media” in staging and production, but I don’t. Can anyone explain why? And how do I get them to show in the staging and production environments?

Go to TOOLS -> SITE HEALTH and look at the list of plugins on each site. What’s installed on one that’s not on the other?

Thanks a lot. I had never used Tools -> Site Health before. I noticed something when using it just now, but it wasn’t the plugins. I had already compared the list of plugins in development with what’s in staging. Under “media handling” things are different. In development it says “Active Editor – WP_Image_Editor_Imagick”. It then has values next to ImageMagick version number, ImageMagick version string and ImageMagick version. In staging it has “Active Editor – WP_Image_Editor_GD”. Then it has “not available” for those next 3 values. Now the question is how do I get WP_Image_Editor_Imagick for my active editor?
The solution to my problem may be to create my own custom CSS grid. But I wish I could figure out this mystery anyway.

I finally got this tough problem resolved! It required deleting and reinstalling the Jetpack plugin. Now I’m seeing the green icons in the staging environment.
