• After using this plugin for approx three years I decided opt it off. I’m really tired to be afraid after every update of this plugin.
The last update brought PHP warnings after a setting migration and I was not able to repair it.
And the question is that it is only the breadcrumbs. Nothing else. It MUST work. Without any questions, migration settings and re-setup. I don’t want to spend several hours to repair !!!BREADCRUMBS!!! after updates.
It’s the last stuff I want to spend my time for.
Now I’ve removed this plugin and I am happy.
    Good luck!

I’m sorry you feel this way. Unfortunately, it appears you have never opened up a support thread regarding this issue, or any prior issue. Would you mind elaborating on the PHP Warnings you are getting? There is a known bug where a PHP Warning will show up on the first settings page load after settings migration (but not on subsequent loads of the settings page) which I am fixing for the next version (see https://github.com/mtekk/Breadcrumb-NavXT/issues/205). Is this what you are experiencing, or are you running into some other problem?

Now I am not able to repeat this error. I’ve removed this plugin. If that warning disappeared after some reload/migration or something else I think I would not remove this plugin.

But the problem is that if I see that your plugin wants to be updated I know and I am accustomed that I should be ready for problems. And this habit is because of your type of updating.

I have really many plugins installed. And your plugin is the most tricky during updating.
Sorry, but I can’t spend time on long discussion and make your product better. I know my issue could make this plugin better. But sorry, maybe next time.

Honestly, if you were frequently running into issues, it would have been nice to know this earlier. Updates with Breadcrumb NavXT should be smooth. Getting to the point that you expect problems on an update is unfortunate, and not something I want at all. Hence, I would really appreciate more information regarding what frustrates you (especially regarding updates) so that I can improve the plugin.

I will acknowledge that the transition from 5.x to 6.x was messy, and is not the way things should go. Was this when updates became painful due to things breaking for you, or had it always been that way? Would you mind elaborating on the things that made updating tricky/painful?

Yes. It is really so. It should be. But…

Unfortunately, I have no time to reproduce these warnings. Sorry, but now I can’t help you.

As I mentioned before, I was using this plugin for 3 years. I became accustomed came across problems with this plugin. I don’t remember exactly what was there.

Sorry that now I can’t help you.
But I should have written this review because it is true. This plugin requires excessive attention and people who install it should be wary because then it would take their time as it took mine.

Understood. Do you recall if these warnings were just on the settings page, or were they showing up on your site where you called the breadcrumb trail? If you do not remember, that is fine.

I do not feel this is a fair statement, especially since you never reached out for support in resolving these issues. It is very likely the issues you experienced could have been resolved had I been made aware of them.

The last warnings were on the settings page and on the site.

And it is good that you are not able to remove my feedback.

And I had to do it after each update of this plugin. It is a good deal if one has no own business.
