I feel like I’m tripping over my own feet as I type my content. Menus are interfering with the previous paragraph, there icons and clickable elements all over the place, and the placeholder, “Start writing…” text is in the way. I can’t see my copy in its entirety as I’m typing and that is important. Making paragraphs individual blocks was a big mistake.

I like the idea of blocks, but don’t make each paragraph and title a block. It is extremely tedious. If you have a content block that works more traditionally and then you can subsequently add blocks above or below, I think that would work better.

Could be a lot better. Come on WordPress.

  • Hi there. Seems you had an terrible start with Gutenberg. And the overlapping block toolbars can be quite irritating. Try this: go to the three-dot menu on the top right and select Top Toolbar. That anchors the block toolbars bar to the top of the screen and out of the way. See if that works better for you.

You can also use the ‘classic block’ for a more traditional experience.
