I’m unable to translate dynamic strings from giveWP plugin using TranslatePress

    I followed the tutorial on translating a plugin and all the steps seem to check out.

    The plugin (giveWP) has a .pot file in the main plugin’s directory “wp-content/plugins/give/languages/give.pot” and for some reason when I try to translate a webpage that has a donation plugin inside of it, it doesn’t show the dynamic text of the plugin at all in the editor and I have no control over editing it.

    I tried enabling the “fix missing dynamic text” from the advanced settings in TranslatePress’ dashboard but this didn’t fix anything also.

    Hi,

    If a string isn’t selectable with the pencil tool, you can search for it using the?list of strings, available for translation from the?Translation Editor. You can search for it (depending of it’s type) also in the?String Translation Interface?–> Gettext tab or Regular tab (this tab requires to be activated from TP Settings –> Advance tab?–> Debug section).

    Please also check if you don’t have disable the dynamic translation from TP Settings –> Advanced tab –> Troubleshooting section and also if the string is not excluded in Exclude Gettext Strings from Exclude strings section.

    Thanks for the reply @alexcozmoslabs this was really helpful. I found the gettexts from the string translation interface for giveWP donation and added the translated strings in both languages Arabic and English. The translations are not showing still when I toggle the language switcher.

    I noticed that there were no .po and .mo files created in the file explorer as well, do I need to do something for this or does TranslatePress handle this automatically?
    In the TranslatePress dashboard I have the Fix missing dynamic text enabled and the Disable dynamic translation disabled. Tried toggling those as well but no changes were made to the texts inside the give form

    Hi,

    Do you have the other translation plugin active, like LocoTranslate? This may alter the translations made with Tp, since the LocoTranslate have it’s own translation files.
