Hi All,

i’m working on the new version of Media library Categories. I think i’m going publish this version in 1-2 weeks. I don’t know if the creator merganser works again on this plugin, but there a lot of people have problems with this plugin and i think it’s very great plugin that’s why i want help the community.

In Futures roadmap
– add multiple column for shortcode
– fix slugs checked
– add select input to choose the category for all already loaded media

– add shortcode popup with icon Tinymce

Tweaks
– rewrite get_media_categories (thanks to s.holyszewski)

Bug fix
– fix alt tags with html safe entities (Thanks to protohominid)
– fix inefficient column check (thanks to tonykwon)
– fix the number of files in category
– fix the bug for limit in shortcode (thanks to Davidlok)
– fix the bug to ‘Insert into Post’ when you select picture with “show links” for woocommerce category
– fix the bug to ‘Insert into Post’ when you check picture.
– apply somes fixes to be more compatibility with media functions
– solve bug with ACF plugins when you use with repeater field image or field image (fix bug display 2 checkbox)

Try to put “jQuery” instead “$” in javascript

$(“.6_mcol”) begin jQuery(“.6_mcol”)

i uploaded the media library for my first WP site and I love it, i have a new site and when i search for it from the Add Plugin I no longer can find it. When i go to my plug ins with my site https://www.casinogames.com/blog which has the original plug in and working great. I click on the visit site from the plugin admin and it sends me here https://sites.google.com/site/medialibarycategories/ and then I am stuck.

In a nutshell, i like this Media Categories version 1.1.1 by Rick Mead and would like to upload it to another WP site I have.

Sorry about the loss of this plugin. I moved jobs and have absolutely no time to commit to this plugin. It came down because a vulnerability was in the code. This was my first attempt at php and wordpress plugins. I know it is littered with bugs and glad for any help to keep it going.

is it possible to check if there are items in the category before calling the media categories shortcode?

Stop to use this plugin because there are a lot of bugs with native upload and Medialibrary. This plugin isn’t compatible with WordPress 3.5.

When is this plugin compatible with the 3.5 version ?
Installed the plugin on [ link moderated ] and got an error message. Is it safe to have so many plugins for a site ?
