    Hi Guys,

This message is showing up on one of my pages:

Image alt attributes: Out of 9 images on this page, only 2 have alt attributes that reflect the topic of your text. Add your keyphrase or synonyms to the alt tags of more relevant images!

The issue is, yesterday it said something along the lines of ‘you have too many images with the keyphrase in the at tags – remove some’.

So, I removed all but 2 or 3, then this came up – I put them all back on and this message is still showing.

    Thanks

    Richard

    Hi @richardclement,

We just had a new release of the plugin version v15.3. Can you please update the plugin and check if this resolves the issue?

Yoast SEO is suggesting you do not overuse keyphrase or synonyms on alt attributes of your images. It has detected more images have alt attributes with words from your keyphrase or synonyms that you might need to remove from some of them.

    Thanks Suwash,

I’ve updated to v15.3 and no change.

You said ‘Yoast SEO is suggesting you do not overuse keyphrase or synonyms on alt attributes of your images. It has detected more images have alt attributes with words from your keyphrase or synonyms that you might need to remove from some of them.’

Sorry, I’m not sure why you mentioned this? Yoast is saying that only 2 out of the 9 images, have alt attributes that reflect the topic of my text.

As mentioned above, I’ve played around with adding the keyphrase to ALL of the images on the front page >> Yoast didn’t like this. So, I removed it on some of them >> then it came back with the above message. I’ve since added the keyphrase to all images again >> this message (2 out of 9) still comes up…

    Any ideas?

    Thanks

    Richard

@richardclement Thanks for your reply and we apologize for the confusion. Regarding your issue, can you please let us know how the images on the page are being added to the page’s content? Are you adding them using the default Gutenberg image block, or are the images added as a module of some type of page builder?

If you clear your cache (server, plugin/theme, browser, or CDN such as Cloudflare) does this resolve the issue? If you are not sure how to clear your server cache you should speak with your host provider. We have information on how to clear your browser cache at the following link: https://kb.yoast.com/kb/how-to-clear-my-browsers-cache/.

    Thanks Carl,

I’ve been using a WordPress Theme (Astra) and Elementor to edit my pages.

I’ve just flushed the cache on Chrome and using WordPress plugin and the only change is that now this message comes up:

Outbound links: No outbound links appear in this page. Add some!

This is weird because I specifically put in an outbound link and this error has only just re-appeared again after about a week of it not showing…

    Hi,

The errors were likely held in cache until it was cleared. We see you are using Elementor. We would like some more information.

    1. Are all your non-Yoast plugins and themes also updated?

    2. Are you using Elementor free or pro? Is it updated?

    3. What Elementor modules are you using for the outbound link? A button? A text field? Something else?
