Hi there, I apologize in advance for any language barriers.

I’m wondering if it’s possible to add the “alt” tag at the images I publish using PublishPress block “Image” .

Yoast SEO doesn’t see tha alt tag I use within the WordPress media library…

    Thank you

    Hi @drunkfox

    Thanks for using PublishPress Blocks.

You can put your alt image when opening media library:

Thanks for your answer, but it doesn’t help.
I know very well how to put alt image into the media library.
But if the image is published using “PublishPress block Image”, the alt tag that I wrote in the media library doesn’t work. It does not even appear in the source code of the page…

    Hi @drunkfox,

“Image – PublishPress” block output the image as background through a div. Using this approach we’re missing the alt attribute due is not allowed in div tags. We’re analyzing the possibility to update the block to use img tag instead in order to support alt attribute.

We opened an issue in Github.

Thank you. I hope you will be able to fix it. I use many images in my blog, and image alt attribute is something I don’t want to lose ??
    Thanks.
