Image and articles not showing in Google News

  • Hi Chris,

    First of all, thank you for the plugin!

    I’m trying to show up in Google News with my website and although is listed as a new source as you can see here https://news.google.com/publications/CAAqBwgKMPi9lwsw-eauAw?hl=it&gl=IT&ceid=IT:it images are not showing up properly with your plugin (TAB: Ultime notizie GN) and the same happen with articles when I search for them in Google News.

    I’m testing different methods but I really don’t understand what could be the issue here, do you have any suggestions?

  • Hi Gianori,

    Right now, are you using GN Publisher for all of your sections, or just some of them?

    None of your images meet the Google News technical guidelines – they ask for the images to be at least 800px on the shortest size. I see that a lot of your images are displayed anyway though,

    Hi Chris, thank you for getting back to me.

    I’m using this feed https://www.cambiarevita.eu/feed/gn for the section called “Ultime Notizie (GN)”

    Each image, especially the featured one, is uploaded in WordPress at 800×400 px as you can see here https://www.cambiarevita.eu/wp-content/uploads/2015/04/Paesi-Economici-Indonesia.jpg but it resize due to the page layout.

    Do you recommend using larger images? Which size is best for Google News?

    Hi Gianluca,

    The newer articles you’ve posted (within 7 hours at the time I’m writing this) do include the images. If you don’t mind, just keep posting as you are doing and let’s see what the images do. It may be a caching issue on Google’s end,
