• I have a lot of images. I want to have a common graphics on a page that links to different images that opens in a small popup. I spent ages doing it with “pro popup builder” which worked great but after creating a lot of images it has slowed my website down to a crawl so is unusable. Is there anyway I can do it without a plugin ?

The answer depends very much on which theme and PageBuilder you are working with. The standard editor that comes with WordPress (Block Editor) already supports the so-called LightBoxes. There is an “Expand on click” option in the image block. See: https://www.ads-software.com/documentation/article/image-block/#wide-and-full-width-images

If you are not using the editor, which one is it? You may be able to find a compatible plugin here: https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/tags/lightbox/ – or ask the support team of the editor/PageBuilder/Theme you are using.

I am using the standard wordpress and a very old theme that I am stuck with and not supported for many years. I will check the link you have given me. Thanks

I did try “firelight lightbox” but didn’t get very far with it. Seemed to be more about galleries.
