Your plugin has worked very well, but I’ve hit a bit of a snag.

We have some blog content where we use an inline image function as a link offsite, set to open in a new tab. Unfortunately, it appears that these types of image links are captured by your lightbox plugin and it attempts to overlay something (which never loads) instead of simply allowing the offsite link to function as it should. What am I missing? Is there a fix/workaround?

    Hello,
please give me a link to a page with this problem

And I know this sounds crazy, but now it’s working as it should be. A *glitch*?

I’ll certainly repost if I see this problem happening again, but for the moment it appears to have resolved on its own accord?!

ok I’ll wait, please write me when it appears

OK, so it is happening for one of our authors on this page – https://www.reef2rainforest.com/2020/10/21/coral-magazine-table-of-contents-november-december-2020/

She just sent me a screenshot of what she’s seeing, the “spinning wheel”. I was seeing that before, but now that page opens the link in a new window without issues.

thanks for the link and explanation of the problem.
I understood what was going on. I will update the plugin with a fix shortly.

But now you can do it like this –
go to Settings -> SimpLy Gallery -> SimpLy Lightbox for native WordPress Gallery / Image -> Activity and Grouping -> disable Use lightbox for Nativ WP Image
    And Save changes.
Most of all this should help.

    Lightbox Preset

I’ll try that out, but I do still want the lightbox to properly capture and display links that are set to point to “media file”. I’ve not dug into the code to see if/whether that could be done on my end. I look forward to the update, as your plugin saved us a bit after the outmoded template started to conflict with current WP.

if this is such a big problem for you, then you can download this archive (there is one JS file in it) and replace the file with it on your server in the plugins folder -> simply-gallery-block->plugins

This should help, let me know the result

Well, your setting fix did get things working from a site-link standpoint…but of course we lose your lightbox too!

did you replace the file in the plugin with a new one (from the link above)? Or what are you talking about?
