Image Aspect Ratio

Hi!

I don’t know if I understand correctly but I’m working in this way:
I’m uploading in media library the image which has the retina resoluzion (so the biggest one), then I click on “generate” in order to obtain all the other versions for normal screen.
The serious problem I’m encountering is that the conversion is limited by the aspect ratio of the image. For example if I have a very horizontal image, or an horizontal logo, the plug-in tell me it can’t generate the other version of the image because they don’t have the minimum aspect ratio.

Is it normal? Correct? It seems to be a big limitation.
