I created about 30 different custom posts that had an image attachment. It now seems as if each of the image attachments are sharing the same permalink as the associated record.

So they all are showing up as duplicates in Permalink Manager.

However, if I go to the image itself in Media Library the URL is within the wp-content/uploads folder. But it also looks like each of the images has it’s own post, which I think is the result of having an option in Yoast selected to redirect attachment URLs to parent post URL. So this might just be an issue of Permalink Manager reporting a duplicate because of a redirect.

    Hi again Larry,

please download 2.0.5.4 version from here and reinstall it manually:
    https://downloads.www.ads-software.com/plugin/permalink-manager.2.0.5.4.zip

Now, when “Remove all broken URIs” button is clicked on the page where URI duplicates are listed, the custom URIs for attachments will be removed if two conditions are met:

    • “Redirect attachment URLs to parent post URL.” option is enabled in Yoast’s SEO Premium plugin
    • a single attachment is assigned to any post/page

    Regards,
    Maciej

I did as instructed but it didn’t seem to remove any of the attachments. I believe they all meet the criteria you are suggesting.

    Please do the following:

    1. select “Media” in “Disable Permalink Manager functionalities” from plugin settings page:
      wp-admin/tools.php?page=permalink-manager&section=settings
    2. go to “Tools -> Permalink Duplicates” page and click “Remove all broken URIs” button
