image backgrounds

hey guys!

I have a couple images on my page videoconference.guru and I’m using simple image code <img src=”image.jp”> but wordpress is adding a grey background/border thing to them. How do I remove this?

I’m using a theme called Picturesque.

I would also like to be able to make it not do that hover thing it does when I hover over the image. For the main image (the people sitting in a meeting) and the Contact Sales button, I don’t want them to have a background/border, and I don’t want them changing at all when you hover over them.
