Image block within Unsynced Pattern (preserving link)

  • I created an unsynced pattern that contains and image block where the image links to an “upgrade” page.

    I want to be able to replace the image for every new use case where I apply the pattern, but I want the link to remain the same.

    Is this possible ? Currently, whenever I replace the image in a new instance of the pattern, the link is lost and I have to re-type it.

  • I am able to reproduce this problem.
    I am not aware of a way to work around it.

    Unless the image is linked to the media file or attachment page, I don’t think the link should be changed when the image is replaced. I think this is a bug in the WordPress editor.

    Thank you for taking the time to re-create the situation I described and see if you could figure anything out.

    How do we submit this to WordPress to possible fix ?
