    Hi. Image caption is just peace of text, you can add text block under image block for the same purpose

    Yes, that’s true. But if you would like to fill in all the captions per image directly in the media library, e.g. image credentials, then it would be nice to show them automatically with image as figcaption.

    Second reason: figcaption is the semantic thing for image caption, and not a following p string.
