Image Carousel Not scrolling on Home Page

Hi,
I am using the vantage lite theme. I want to use the carousel feature to display the product categories.
The images do not scroll and are positioned one in a grid instead of a moving carousel. I am not sure why this is happening.
How do i solve this?Note: The carousel works fine on other pages.
