Hello everyone, When I add an image block to a page then an image, there seems to be a bug in the image settings: the image is displayed the same size in the editor whether I choose Large or Original size. and the big choice sometimes disappears Then on the site the image appears blurry, if I right click and open in a new tab, the 640×480 image is used (it therefore appears pixelated and stretched on my site) If I choose to enlarge by clicking: the image displayed is indeed the original image The problem occurs on new pages created or modified, not on old ones. I tried to switch to the Twenty twenty four theme and the problem is fixed on display. Do you have a solution to offer me? How can we reinstall/repair the twenty seventeen theme without losing the settings? Thank you very much

Hi @drouet60 – that definitely does sound odd. Are you able to show me a screenshot of that page you shared (https://lizyvet.fr/1084-2/) in the editor with the different settings for each image – so I can try and take a closer look?

Thanks for sharing that @drouet60. When I have a look now I see the images seeming to load correctly in terms of the source file – but I do still see that the smaller ones are scaled up.

Could you please try manually setting a width on the images (to match the source image) and see if that helps?

It’s also possible this may be a plugin conflict. Could you please attempt to disable all plugins? If the problem goes away, enable them one by one to identify the source of your troubles.

If you can install plugins, install and activate “Health Check”: https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/health-check/
It will add some additional features under the menu item under Tools > Site Health.
On its troubleshooting tab, you can Enable Troubleshooting Mode. This will disable all plugins, switch to a standard WordPress theme (if available), allow you to turn your plugins on and off and switch between themes, without affecting normal visitors to your site. This allows you to test for various compatibility issues.

There’s a more detailed description about how to use the Health Check plugin and its Troubleshooting Mode at https://make.www.ads-software.com/support/handbook/appendix/troubleshooting-using-the-health-check/
