You can fix this with a little bit of css.

img.aligncenter {
    display: block;
    margin: auto;
}

If you’re unsure how to edit the css, the easiest way is to use a plugin like the Custom CSS module in Jetpack (https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/jetpack/) or Simple Custom CSS (https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/simple-custom-css/).
