• First off I’m VERY disappointed with the new image editor in WP 3.9. My workflow has been hobbled terribly by the removal of the image sizing selectors for images which are linked via URL. This is very LAME. I know it is not a bug, but it is very irritating. When asked why this was removed a moderator’s answer was because not may people use it? Perhaps Adobe should remove the crop function from Photoshop, because not may people use it? Better yet, lets remove everything. Did they take some kind of poll or something? How would they know how many people use a function and how many don’t, and why REMOVE functions anyway?

    That leads me to the next bug. Now that the only way I can accurately control image sizing to exact pixel dimensions on images inserted via URL is to edit the HTML of the image. Fine. Pain in the a$$ but that’s what I have to do. I manuall change the width of the image and remove the height as I’ve done in the previous image editor for YEARS. But as soon as I change alignment, the image editor is adding back the height attribute and screwing the image up! I made a YouTube video to demonstrate:
