• I recently edited some blog posts for a site migration from SquareSpace to WordPress. The client’s links are long-term hosted at Smugmug, so I referred to the images like this:

    atlanta-skyline

We completed the site migration about three weeks ago, and all looked good.

Today I get word that the same image now refers to this image, which is non-existent so it 404s:

    https://atleventphotography.files.wordpress.com/2010/08/atlanta-skyline.jpg

What could have changed to cause WP to auto-edit these image refs?

One other person has access to the blog (so we asked if she made any changes)… I just don’t know what kind of change to look for.

Between then and now, we did assign the website atlantaeventphotography.smugmug.com to a TLD (atlantaeventphotography.com), but you can still access the first-referenced img src despite the change… I cannot see any way WP might have been affected by that.
