    Hi Support,
    trying to find out where my errors are located (missing images) as per the wordpress screenshot here;
    https://www.dropbox.com/s/j7pn7makj2u0omd/Images%20Missing.jpg?dl=0
I can’t seem to find the errrors in my image library,
if lightspeed says there are 6 errors (missing images), can it not provide links to what is missing?

If this feature isn’t available yet, can it be added?
As per the image from the link above, it says I have 3 groups (6 images) missing.
Can someone point me in the right direction here please as to how to get over this issue, IE repair/find the missing images etc.
Any ideas please, I’m all ears ??
    PS. I have tried LSC-manage/DB Optimiser/Clean all
Still shows that there are 3 groups (6 images) missing.
    Many thanks in advance
    DB

    Hi,

    You can try following:

go to debug tab , enable advance debug log for your IP.

destroy the image optimize and start all over again.

then you will see these missing files are which files.

In most cases , the image missing are caused by site migration, you can run WP repair to see if that helps.

    Best regards,

Many many thanks for your reply.
I will do what you have suggested, but already I get an issue!
    https://www.dropbox.com/s/6ljnqrhooj64ihn/link-has-expired.mp4?dl=0

The link is a short (2min) video) showing my issue.
I keep getting link has expired!

    I just don’t believe this!
Any ideas as to why this is happening please?

    Many thanks in advance

    Just to add,
When using google chrome I had this issue,
I closed browser, logged in via firefox and I’ve got it working! WTF???
So much time wasted with issues that shouldn’t really happen.

Any idea why I was getting this error?
    As a note,
I did notice a setting wrong in LSC.
I say under settings/CDN I had Enable CDN set to on!
    I’ve just read the post here;
    https://www.litespeedtech.com/support/wiki/doku.php/litespeed_wiki:cache:lscwp:configuration:cdn

It should be off, and I should have the Cloudflare API set to on (So Email/Global API/Domain are all being used)
This must have been causing me issues for sure.
    Hope this is correct now!
    Many thanks
    DB
PS… just about to “destroy the image optimize and start all over again.” as you mentioned above.
    Hope this works
    many thanks

    Hi,

I’m sorry I am not really following you here.

    Hi thanks for quick reply,
    I have now done what you said;
    ———-
destroy the image optimize and start all over again.
    ———-
    https://www.dropbox.com/s/nlzsll37kp6gvby/images%202.jpg?dl=0

Above link shows LiteSpeed Cache Image Optimisation page.
Still you can see Image files missing: 3 groups (6 images)
I click the learn more, but it just takes me to a webpage.
    I had enabled advanced debug.
How from here do I now know what images are missing please?

Also you mention WP repair,,,, is this needed to get rid of the images missing?
I’m not sure what the advanced debug activated has done/ or can show me?

    Many thanks again

    Hi,

I’m sorry if I didn’t explain it clear.

When you enable debug log to your IP.

Then you go to image optimization , send optimization request (destroy it first if you have already seen the missing warning).

Then go to “debug” page from left-side menu, in there you will see everything LSCWP was doing and what went wrong.

typically , you will see information like /wp-content/uploads/2018/xx/xx/xxxxxx.jpg file missing

    Hi, DB.

When you get a message about missing images, that means that your WP database thinks that there are particular images in your media library, but the image files actually don’t exist in the file system. This can happen if you delete an image from the command line instead of going through WordPress.

You can simply ignore these missing image warnings, if your site is working as expected.

If you really need to know what images are missing, however, you can do as qtwrk suggested: Enable advanced debug log, run image optimization again, and then navigate to LiteSpeed Cache > Debug to have a look at the log. You should see something like

    /wp-content/uploads/2018/xx/xx/xxxxxx.jpg file missing

It doesn’t matter how many time you re-run image optimization. Those warnings will continue until the files are restored in the file system, or until they are deleted from the Media Library.

I hope this helps! Let me know if you still have questions.

P.S. Don’t forget to turn off debugging when you’re done. Those logs can grow pretty quickly!

Many thanks for all your replies.

    Can you please just confirm from my image;
    https://www.dropbox.com/s/eej6204z75sh6kj/debug-image.jpg?dl=0

So I dont just turn debug to on, I have to select Admin IP only ?????

Also, it says,, log file goes to wp-content/debug.log

So in my ftp, that will show up in my /public_html/wp-content directory ????

Many thanks again for all your help.
    A very grateful

No, there’s no need to set Admin IP Only. Just selecting Advanced is fine.

Yes, you can look at the file in that directory if you want to do it that way. Or, you can look at it from within WordPress using the Litespeed Cache > Debug Log menu option I mentioned earlier, and as described here.

    Good luck!

Many thanks again for replies,,, but I can’t see debug log that everyone keeps mentioning! ??
    https://www.dropbox.com/s/5ixk805kvmhi1r5/debug-log.jpg?dl=0
It’s not in the sidebar of my wordpress under LightSpeed Cache

Can’t see it in FTP in wp-content directory either!

should log file limit be set to greater than 3MB??

    Hi again Lisa,
    you say navigate to;
    LiteSpeed Cache > Debug

    ??
    Do you mean Lightspeedcahe/settings/debug?
As there is no log file here for me to see

Or in the 1st image above,, are you saying there should be a debug in the Lightspeed cache sub menu,,, ie it shows
    =============
    Settings
    Manage
    Edit.htaccess
    Image Optimisation
    Crawler
    Report
    Import/Export
    ==============
There is no debug showing in this sub menu?

Or are you saying go to settings/debug?
But in there there is no log either?
    https://www.dropbox.com/s/2odbvconroh1axw/No-Debug-Log.jpg?dl=0
Please can you clarify this for me

    As a note,
I’ve just installed the latest update of LiteSpeed Cache to v2.6.2
So I guess everything has been purged now

    #######IPORTANT#####
I dont know whats been going on here,
    Just installed latest version,
Gone to FTP and can now see in wp-content
    debug.log!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
    I don’t f…… believe this!
Sorry,, but you were saying go here /look here etc,, and I didn’t see anything.
Now after new install it has shown up!

As a not,,, maybe a debug log should be a separate sub menu as the same as reports or import/export

I can now/ shall now take a look as I now do indeed have a debug .log to view.
Many thanks for all your time with this,,,, so strange it never showed up before
    Best regards

    Hi,

That debug menu only show up once you have enabled debug option.

    Best regards,

    (@dowboy)

    Hi qtwrk,
    yep, many thanks,
this might sound sarcastic, it’s not mean’t to be,, but sure,, I’m aware of what you said.

I seem to have caching issues maybe with web browsers when I make changes, or it’s something with LSP and cloudflare,, I’m not sure.

Sometimes I make changes in say LSP,,, for instance click image optimise,,, it might give me the tick taht all is completed,, then I might click to go to look at a post,,, then go back to image optimise and now it might say 99% finished!
So Im have to click CTRL +F5 the it shows all is 100%
    ?????????

Maybe there is a step by step process that I’m not following correctly,, ie say I want to delete an image then upload an image,, I might need to 1st set go to manage/CDN/development mode ON
(Just speaking aloud here,,, as I’ve had it where I’ve deleted images, gone back to the image library and they are still showing!
Maybe after deleting I have to select purge all?

    (Again, just speaking aloud here.
Is there any video tutorials showing LSC in action on wordpress with correct ways to alter images etc etc?

Many thanks for all your help with this
Just as a note, here’s another example of something that hasn’t worked 100%
I did (Twice) delete all my images and re-optimise them.
I also deleted some (That I had issues with and re-uploaded (Via image library (Not just ftp transfer)
And still I have a few that wouldn’t optimise correctly
Here’s a short screencam (3 mins) to illustrate the point.
Also, in the video see an issue with my development mode not staying on…
Really, this happens all the time,,, is there something I’m doing wrong here?
I can send a report off if you think there is an issue here with LSC and how it’s configureed via my namehero server/cloudflare API
    Video link is here
    https://www.dropbox.com/s/17y2v77w4wt94nl/cache-issue-images-issue.mp4?dl=0

Many thanks for all your help here,,, really is apreciated greatly
    yours sicerely
