    Hello.

I used your Media File Renamer plugin for a while, then uninstalled it.

Now I have a problem whose source I don’t understand: I have image files (from my blog posts) that automatically rename themselves periodically, and I have to systematically rename them by hand.

So I was wondering if this could be linked to your plugin, which even when uninstalled, is still there somewhere?
Where can I see this? Thanks a lot!

    Hi @enumaelle,

It’s impossible; if the plugin is not installed, it can’t perform any action. Also, by default, Media File Renamer doesn’t rename images by itself, you need to go through the dashboard and actually initiate the process of renaming (one by one, or in bulk). I feel like something else might be happening.

Make sure you refresh your cache; and if you use a plugin that renames or modifies files, make sure you disable your cache. That way, you’ll see the results instantly. Caching can provoke tricky behaviors.
