Image from External URL (apart from Featured Image)

  • Dear FIFU Plugin Developers,

    what possibilities are there with the FIFU plugin to have normal images, created from ACF fields to use a external Image URL?

    I only saw the featured image working and in the Pro Version there are also no hints that its working with it.

    Would be really nice to have some answers for this.

    So what we are looking for is, we want a custom field where we can add external image url.
    And then use that custom field on gutenberg or plugins like elementor etc.

    We have ACF + Elementor.
    We have a custom field where we want to add external image url.
    And wants to use this custom field on Elementor Image module.

    Good news, @tejashapani-1.

    We could implement a Gutenberg block that displays an image from an URL stored in a custom field. And it doesn’t require ACF plugin. We’ll try to do the same for Elementor plugin (free and pro versions).

    We should create a new plugin for block images, because the code we have now (to display a featured image) is completely different from the code we need to display an image in the block editor. It should take a few weeks. I inform you when that’s ready.
